Scope of Services
Seattle Aviation Medical performs FAA certification examinations and BasicMed physical evaluations exclusively. Services are limited to regulatory fitness-for-flight and certification assessments only. We do not provide diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, medication management, or ongoing clinical care. Certification evaluations are not comprehensive health examinations.
No Patient-Physician Relationship
Aviation certification evaluations are regulatory examinations and do not establish an ongoing or treating physician-patient relationship. These services do not replace primary care. Applicants must maintain a separate relationship with a personal physician for diagnosis, treatment, and emergency care.
Limitation of Liability
Seattle Aviation Medical is responsible only for performing certification examinations and completing required documentation based on the information provided at the time of evaluation. We are not responsible for long-term medical management, treatment decisions, or outcomes related to medical conditions. Any health concerns identified during an exam are the responsibility of the applicant to address with their primary care physician or specialist.
Applicant Responsibility Disclosure
Applicants are responsible for providing complete and accurate medical history and documentation during the certification process. Omitted or inaccurate information may affect certification eligibility and flight safety. Certification determinations are governed by FAA regulations.
